Flipper Tag Sightings

Rehabilitated seals and sea lions are outfitted with an orange flipper tag. If you observe a tagged animal, please submit the observation to help us track movements and survivorship. **Injured animals should be reported to your local stranding center.

If you see an animal with a flipper tag, please share the information here. Please enter as much information as you have on the form below. These sighting reports are shared throughout the stranding network, collecting data about the success of rehabilitated and released Seals and Sea Lions (aka Pinnipeds). Any distinct information about the location the animal was seen (lifeguard station numbers, buoy numbers, beach, marina name, and or any other landmarks).
